Log Files
DigitalYug follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Like any other website, DigitalYug uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

2. Analytics (optional) — anonymous statistics about which pages are read, used only to improve our content. Off until you allow it.
3. Personalised advertising — Google AdSense (optional) — We show ads through Google AdSense. If you allow personalised ads, Google and its partners may use cookies (such as those on google.com / doubleclick.net) and data such as the pages you visit, your device, browser and approximate location (from IP address) to show ads based on your interests. If you do not allow it, we tell Google (using Google Consent Mode) not to use cookies for personalisation; you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. 4. Marketing — Meta (Facebook) Pixel (optional) — Only if you allow marketing cookies, we load the Meta Pixel. It sets the _fbp cookie and sends Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) information such as the page URL you visit, browser and device information, IP address and the fact that you viewed a page. We use this to measure our Facebook/Instagram campaigns and to show DigitalYug posts to people who may like them. Meta may combine this with information it already has about you under its own policy: Meta Privacy Policy. You can also control ads on Facebook in your Facebook ad preferences.
5. Embedded content — Stories may contain YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter) or Facebook posts. YouTube videos load only when you press play (through youtube-nocookie.com). When you play or view embedded content, that platform may collect data under its own privacy policy.
6. Comments — When you comment we store your name, e-mail address (never published), comment text, the time and your IP address. We use this to publish your comment, to moderate it and to block spam and abuse. Comments are reviewed before they appear.
7. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the services listed above (Google, Meta), our hosting provider, or when required by law.
8. Your rights (India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) — You can ask us for a summary of your personal data, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent at any time (as easily as you gave it, using ), nominate another person to exercise these rights, and raise a grievance. Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on DigitalYug, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that DigitalYug has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

DigitalYug is a general news and stories website for adults. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a "child" is anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data (for example through comments, author accounts or forms) from children without verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, and we do not use cookies to track or target advertising at children.
