Cameron Winklevoss is the identical twin brother of Tyler Winklevoss. He was born in Southampton, New York, to Carol and Howard Edward Winklevoss Jr. At 13, the brothers taught themselves HTML, which led to their first web-page company.

He studied at Greenwich Country Day School and Brunswick School. Cameron had a keen interest in Latin and Ancient Greek, and during his early years, he founded a crew program with his twin brother. They approached Sanjay Mavin kurve and Victor Gao to work on the programming of Harvard Connection, but soon, both of them left due to personal reasons.   • Guest of a Guest – Cameron founded Guest of a Guest, an online site in 2008 with Rachelle Hruska. It was a blog that focused on parties and nightlife in Los Angeles, New York City, Washington D.C., and Hamptons. Rachelle bought the stakes of it in 2012.
  • Rowing – Cameron started rowing at the age of 15 after being encouraged by his neighbors. He began Rowing on the Saugatuck River in 1997 at the Saugatuck Rowing Club. The duo failed to qualify in the first heat and didn't qualify for the semifinals as they could not reach the top three. However, in the Repechage, they advanced into the semifinals, and after having a solid finish, they went into the Finals. The brothers ended up finishing sixth out of the fourteen countries.
