Due to the occurrence of the COVID-19 global pandemic, many amazing movies which were coming up were deferred. Now, after undergoing certain protocols, finally, the movies which we are eagerly waiting for are soon going to get released in 2021. Here is the list of the top 10 upcoming movies which will be in theatres that are highly subject to change.

Mortal Kombat is an American fantasy fiction martial arts film that is going to be released on April 16 2021 in theaters and in HBO Max. It is directed by Simon McQuoid and is written from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham and a story by Oren Uziel and Russo.

The film will star Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada.

It is hypothesized that an MMA fighter is ignorant of his secret ancestry or Sub-Zero of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins is chasing after him. He looks for a group of fighters who were selected to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the team of Outworld due to his Concern for his family’s safety.



2. CRUELLA

Cruella is an American crime drama-comedy movie that is going to hit the theatres and also on Disney Plus on May 28, 2021, in the United States. The director of the film is Craig Gillespie and is scripted by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara. The story is by Aline Brosh McKenna, Kelly Marcel, and Steve Zissis.

The film is basically on the character Cruella de Vil, who was popularized in the novel “The Hundred and One Dalmatians (1956)” written by Dodie Smith and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961)”, produced by Walt Disney. The film will be starred by Emma Stone stars who will be playing the role of a nominal character, along with Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, and Mark Strong.

It is hypothesized that “Cruella,” follows a young fraud “Estella”, a clever and creative girl who is quite driven to get fame in the field of designing with her works. She joins hand with a pair of thieves who praises her inclination towards mischief, and in the streets of London, they considered to make a world of their own.

The fashion style of Estella one day attracts the eye of Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is extremely fashionable and chic. But their bond leads to many events and disclosures that make Estella grasp her wicked side and turn into a fashionable, rowdy, and revengeful Cruella.



3. FAST & FURIOUS 9

Fast and Furious 9, (also known as F9) is an American action film that has reached its ninth peak and will be released on June 25, 2021, officially. Earlier, the release was going to be scheduled for April 2019 but got postponed due to the releases of Hobbs & Shaw (2019) and No Time to Die (2021), and then also the COVID-19 global pandemic. Also, it will be followed by a tenth installment.

The film director is Justin Lin and is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend, and Samantha Vincent. The screenplay was done by Justin Lin and Daniel Cassy and the story was co-written by both of them along with Alfredo Botello.

It will feature Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.

It is assumed that Dominic Toretto and his family must confront Jakob, the younger brother of Dominic, who is a dangerous assassin and is working with Cipher, who happens to be their old enemy and has personal grudges against Dominic.



4. TOP GUN: MAVERICK

Top Gun: Maverick is an American drama and action film which is basically the sequel to Top Gun (1986. The release of the film is scheduled for July 2, 2021, in theatres in the United States and will be streaming on Paramount Plus after 45 days of the theatrical release. The release was supposed to be scheduled for July 12, 2019, but got delayed due to all the complex flight sequences the production team had to work out and also the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film directed by Joseph Kosinski and the screenplay is done by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie and a story by Peter Craig and Justin Marks.

The film will star Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer. Cruise and Kilmer.

It is considered to be the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the film has been postponed thrice.

The film is Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is proposed to be the 24th film in the MCU. It was directed by Cate Shortland and written by Eric Pearson and the story is by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson.

It will star Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow alongside Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz.

It is assumed that after Captain America: Civil War (2016), Natasha Romanoff is alone and she is strained to face a hazardous plot which is associated with her past. She must deal with her history as a spy and the broken bond which left in her wake before she became an Avenger.



6. JUNGLE CRUISE

Jungle Cruise is an American adventure film that will release on July 30, 2021, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

The director of the film is Jaume Collet-Serra and the story is by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa The screenplay is written by Michael Green, Ficarra and Requa, which is on Walt Disney's theme park attraction. It is produced by Walt Disney Pictures.

The film stars are Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

It is hypothesized that during the early 20th century, “Frank”, a riverboat captain takes a scientist and her brother on a mission into a jungle to search for the Tree of Life which is considered to have healing powers. the three of them must fight against deadly wild animals and a challenging German journey all the while.



7. THE SUICIDE SQUAD

The Suicide Squad is an American superhero film which is based on the DC Comics. The release is scheduled for August 6, 2021, in theatres and on HBO MAX in the United States.

The film is produced by DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, and The Safran Company, and set for distribution by Warner Bros Pictures; it is proposed to be a sequel to Suicide Squad (2016) and the tenth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). It is directed and also scripted by James Gunn.

The film is produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and Tencent Pictures. It is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, and it is proposed to be the second film in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters and also the sequel to Venom (2018). It is directed by Andy Serkis and it is a screenplay by Kelly Marcel.

The film will comprise of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom along with Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Naomie Harris.



9. MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 7

Mission: Impossible 7 is an American action spy film which is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2021, by Paramount Pictures, and will be streamed on Paramount+ on January 3, 2022. Also, a direct sequel, directed by McQuarrie, will release on November 4, 2022. It will be the seventh installment of the Mission Impossible film series.

The film is directed and also written by Christopher McQuarrie and produced by Tom Cruise, McQuarrie, David Ellison, and Jake Myers.
