Suresh Raina – Early Life

Suresh Raina was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. His family belongs to Rainawari, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. He has a military background and, discipline is in his blood. He decided to play cricket at the age of 14 and moved to Guru Gobind Singh Sports College in Lucknow. He played for Uttar Pradesh in all formats. Suresh had played Ranji Trophy, U-19 Asian ODI Championship, U-19 World Cup, 2004.

Fact: Because of his spectacular performance in the World Cup, Raina got awarded a scholarship to train at the Australian Cricket Academy.
