Lets read about one such talent who is taking giant strides in the world of sporting commentary and garnering lot of love, fame, and recognition, Roshan Ramesh Shetty.
Born and brought up in Pune, Roshan studied in the Sardar Dastur Hormazdiar High School. After pursuing his graduation in Science (B.Sc) from Nowrosjee Wadia College, Roshan moved to pursue his Master’s degree in Media & Communication Studies from Pune University in 2016 and later progressed to pursue an MBA in Sports Marketing from Symbiosis International University. Little did he knew that he would soon become one of the most seek and sought-after names in the industry. His interest and passion for Sports Broadcasting and management doubled with each passing day and he was now sure about the fact that he will make it big in the long run. During his college days, Roshan would pick up the mic meant for announcement of matches and started the Analysis of the games, and that's how is Commentary journey began.
During his college days, Roshan got a golden opportunity to perform commentary alongside Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri in a competition at Symbiosis. It was Sunil Chhetri who suggested Roshan to become a professional commentator. Roshan began approaching TV stations, and finally made a breakthrough as a Professional commentator in 2016 with the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports and was awarded the "Sports Excellence" Award by the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar for his Progress as A Sports Broadcasting Professional in 2019 . Alongside Being a Sports Commentator, Roshan Also Serves as the Founder & Director of Sportytude, A Sports Management Company based in Pune.
Roshan Shetty is now recognized as a renowned international commentator & presenter for some of India's Popular Leagues & Championship including the English Premier League & Hero Indian Super League Youth Games (Now NextGen Cup) , Hero I League, Reliance Foundation Youth Sports, Hockey India Senior Men’s National Hockey Championship , IHFF - Mr Olympia Amateur & Sheru Classic India , Rollball World Cup, National Cycling Championship , Tournaments For Income Tax India etc. Roshan has also worked alongside Primetime Emmy Award Winning Director for a Lifestyle based Web Series in India.
